Wayne Smith

For 50 years, Wayne Smith served as President of the Wayne Smith Company in Washington, D.C. He established and managed major trade associations in the fields of education, transportation and health, including the United Motor Coach Association (UMA), National Limousine Association (NLA), International Spa Association (SPA), and the International Fitness Association (IFA). Both the SPA and IFA have since evolved into international associations.

He currently serves as President of the Estero Community Improvement Foundation and is the Trustee for the Smith Family Foundation which strives to support financial efforts that promote the education, health, and social service to our society. Wayne and his wife Sharon are philanthropists who generously invest not just their resources but their time and talent to better the community they reside in and love.

Wayne has supported Christy’s Cause since its inaugural event, Run 4 The Cause, and has championed the cause ever since. His heart for the community, his years of experience, and his strategic thinking have been and continue to be tremendous assets to the organization.
