Jennifer Wolff

Jennifer Wolff joined Christy’s Cause in 2015 as a board member bringing with her over 20 years of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse. During this time she has worked in various clinical environments, including; nursing education, public health education, administration, school nursing, and her passion and current position as emergency room/trauma nurse.

Along with her experience, Jenny brings her knowledge of our health care system and her ability to collaborate with others in the health care field.

During Jennifer’s time as a school nurse, she developed a passionate heart to educate both children and teens, inspiring her to create and teach several health care related classes to young people.

As an ER nurse, she has seen the reality of sexual abuse and exploitation first hand. While she has had the opportunity to help these young people at their weakest moments, the knowledge that they may be returning to a dangerous environment has sparked a desire to do more. She is excited to be a part of a non-profit organization that will give these children a way to escape their otherwise desolate situation.

Jennifer spear headed developing WeCare: a training developed by nurses for nurses to identify and treat victims of Human Trafficking in the healthcare setting while giving them the tools they need to break free from their captors. This was a collaborative effort with Christy’s Cause, Lee Health, Florida Gulf Coast University professors and students, and the Office of the State Attorney.  The team also revised Lee Health’s Human Trafficking policy in the fall of 2017, which has resulted in an increase in victim identification.

Jennifer resides in South West Florida with her husband and three sons. She currently works in the Emergency Department at Lee Memorial Hospital in Ft. Myers, Florida.
